FELLOWSHIP FUTURES

  • The Fellowship Futures is working band of jazz musicians under 21 years old that meet on a regular basis to rehearse, workshop new music, perform, engage in mentorship, and develop community.

  • Auditions are Saturday May 24th & 31st from 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Seattle Jazz Fellowship, 109 S. Main Street, Seattle. (Drums, piano & PA provided).

  • The program runs from June 1, 2025 to May 1, 2026

  • Regular rehearsals & workshops with mentors from the global Jazz community.

  • Paid performances around the NW including Earshot Jazz Festival and Seattle Jazz Fellowship performances.

  • Free of charge to musicians accepted into the program. Must be 21 or under at the time of audition.

  • Be prepared to play one or two jazz tunes with our house rhythm section at the audition. You may bring a lead sheet / chart for a jazz tune of your choosing.

  • Musicians accepted into the program are expected to make the majority of rehearsals and performances throughout the year. Scheduling will take place after the cohort of musicians has been selected.

  • Open to Jazz musicians on any instrument including piano, bass, drums, trumpet, trombone, saxophone, guitar and vocals. The exact instrumentation of the band will be determined by the talent pool present.
